Fiel Now

I'm Fiel, a technologist in my senior year of undergrad 😼

I research and engage in policy across the intersection of foresight, institutional transitions, and risks with UP System leadership and the Atlantic Institute. Earlier, I was elected to the Student Council, competed in parliamentary debate, spent summers in overseas exchanges, and co-founded the Effective Altruism and AI Safety communities in Diliman.

In addition to building Roundtable (Developer Camp '26 Winner), I apprentice at a GovTech consultancy and, separately, a software company to deliver technical interventions for bureaucracies, charities, and MSMEs. I also serve as private-sector counterpart to national government startup initiatives as innovation intermediary.

Before industry, I co-founded a policy advisory which shaped the governance of emerging tech across Southeast Asia. That work brought me to Saigon, Jakarta, Oxford, and DC midway through college.

Born in Bacolod and raised in Silay and Dumaguete, I studied the humanities and the performing and visual arts through high school, while championing initiatives for circularity and decarbonization with grassroots communities and Youth Development Councils. Now based in Cebu, I enable industry development as City Lead of Sip and Scale and serve the World Economic Forum as Vice Curator of the Global Shapers Community.
